Travel-o-Mania | Exploring the hidden treasure of Chennai

Breathtaking, isn’t it!

With boredom hitting its highest peak during the lockdown, I was left with no option but to search for places that are open and less crowded. After surfing the internet for hours, I found no results. Bored, I decided to check my social media handle and that’s when I saw my friend posting pictures of this beautiful hidden treasure!
At first, I thought that this place must be somewhere near the hills, but I was surprised to know that this treasure is present within the heart of the city and is not known by many.

Without having second thoughts, I decided to visit and explore the beauty of nature! Being a nature lover, this place was something that became my most favorite spot and is now close to my heart. While this place is not open to the public and is not a tourist spot, this place is a quarry and its beauty still brings visitors who leave no stone unturned to access this lake.

Hidden lake, as it is fondly called, is located near Chennai airport and is not easily accessible. The roads are broken, no street lights, no shops nearby and no parking spot as well! but, like how treasures are rough outside and precious inside, once you enter the place, you will realize that it’s completely worth the struggle you took to reach there!
